Wallpaper Wednesday: Plaid

Better late than never, right? Plaid wallpaper rocks. I love everything about this photo. Doesnt it make you want fall to come asap? Remember when I talked about wallpapered ceilings? Well that parade home that I was referring to had plaid on the ceiling and it was so cool. Definitely has to be in the right setting but it's awesome when it's pulled off right!

Wallpaper doesn't necesarily need to make a big impact. It doesn't have to be bold or colorful. (Although making a statement with a fun wallpaper can be fun...we'll touch on that next week).

A subtle pattern or color (or both) can be just the answer! Here's a few examples.

Wallpaper can be a great solution to spicing up some open back shelving. You don't even necessarily have to cover the whole wall, you could just do the shelves! The options are endless.

Wallpaper Wednesday- Ceilings

The first time I saw wallpaper on a ceiling was while I was helping with the paint job on a Parade of Homes house quite a few years ago. I thought it was the most fabulous idea and have wanted to do it ever since.

If you're trying to bring the eye up, this is a great way to do it. It can be a subtle pattern / color, or something bold. Either way it's a fantastic way to add uniqueness to a space.

Wallpaper Wednesday

I adore wallpaper. I love that it can be used in so many different ways. Whether it's a subtle color or a crazy pattern, it's a great way to add interest to any space. I've decided to make every Wednesday wallpaper day. 

This particular photo shows two things that I love about wallpaper: 

1. It doesn't need to be used on every single wall in a space.

2. It eliminates the need to add art or other decoration to a wall {although that doesn't always mean that you can't}.

I personally would love to eat in this dining room. It's lovely.
