Florals

Something I learned in my textiles class is that nature never goes out of style. Design has been inspired by it all throughout history...so it's pretty classic. And what do we all love in nature? Florals! Of course the patterns & trends of florals change over time but if it's up to date I think it's fabulous. Here are a few of my favorite finds.

peony love.

{first of all, sorry for no wallpaper wednesday this week. i failed.}

moving on. i know i'm not the only one who's favorite flower is the peony, but i'm posting about it anyway. i chose them as my wedding flower and then met with my florist and discovered that unless i had a floral budget in the thousands, it wouldn't be doable because i was married in october. 

the last few weeks in church there have been the most beautiful bouquets of fresh peonies on the pulpit and they make me ultra happy. if i could have a fresh vase of my own every week in my house i'd be the happiest woman on the planet. here's a few lovely photos for you to gaze upon.
